That's a tough one. As you mention, the only way to know for sure is for a shop to pull out the schematic and do further investigation. I wish you luck! I'm hoping this gives you a start!

Yes to having tried contact cement (worked for a while), NO I did the same with another fob, as you did, and it worked also.

No glue has been perfect for this because (I guess) of the vinyl compound Car Remote Not Working After Battery Change The battery up until recently maintained its power throughout all of the bad starts, now it has a reading of weak battery.

I have replaced the batteries in both remotes still nothing . The number stamped on the transmitter case is for reference only: #2 can be programmed as #1, or vice versa.
