The only other thing that I can think of is to inspect the center channel speaker terminals on the 605 and see if anything stands out to you. If you swapped speakers and wires (that you know work), and the auto setup still won't detect a center channel, I don't know what else would cause that. Then I tried test tone and center did not work.
I just read through the manual and I can't find anything about the Dialog Enhancement option, and I never saw it on my receiver menu, so unless I missed it I You're lucky your Sony lasted three years. However, if you find the automatic speaker level settings not to your liking, you can still go in and make your own manual adjustments. So this must mean my receiver has a problem.
Is there any other possibility? I just don't get it because I use the MCACC for automatic setup and it detects the center channel but then no sound comes through. No, create an account now. Please advise. I know the speaker is good because I hooked it up to one of the other speaker wires and it works fine; also tried different speaker wires but nothing.
